Product Description

Killex weed killer is a selective post-emergent herbicide trusted across Canada for established lawns. It targets broadleaf weeds while leaving your grass untouched, and works best when applied during active weed growth in spring and fall.

Mix 6 mL of concentrate per 1 litre of water to treat approximately 5 m². Apply using a tank sprayer between 10°C and 25°C, and avoid watering or rain for at least 24 hours after application. Not recommended for use on Bentgrass.

How to Apply

  1. Mix 6 mL of concentrate per 1 litre of water to cover approximately 5 square metres. Shake well.
  2. Pour into a tank sprayer or the Scotts Dial N Spray (set dial to 6). Spray evenly over weeds. Keep away from flower beds and garden plants.
  3. Do not mow for 2 days before or after applying.
  4. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours. Do not water for 24 hours after applying.

Keep children and pets off the lawn until fully dry.

1. Does Killex harm grass?
No. Killex is a selective herbicide. it targets broadleaf weeds and leaves your grass alone. Safe for Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescue, and Ryegrass.

2. When is the best time to apply Killex in Canada?
Spring is best and late April through early June when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are between 10°C and 25°C. Fall works too if weeds come back.

3. How long does Killex take to work?
Weeds start to yellow and curl within a few days. Full results take up to four weeks. Killex only works on actively growing weeds.

4. Can I apply Killex before rain?

How soon can I mow after applying?
Wait 2 days before and 2 days after applying. Mowing too soon stops the product from reaching the root.

5. Is Killex safe for kids and pets?
According to the official Killex product label, keep children and pets off the treated area until the product has fully and thoroughly dried. Drying time will vary depending on weather, temperature, humidity, and sun exposure.

6. Can I use Killex on a new lawn?
No. Wait until after the second or third mowing on new turf. After applying Killex wait 1 to 2 weeks before seeding.

7. How many times a year can I apply?
Once in spring covers most lawns. If weeds return wait at least 3 to 4 weeks before reapplying.

8. I have dandelions taking over my lawn. will Killex work?
