Killex Concentrate Lawn Weed Control 1L

Killex controls over 50 varieties of broadleaf weeds. Common weeds it targets include:

1. Mix 6 mL of concentrate per 1 litre of waterto treat approximately 5 square metres. Shake well.
2. Pour into a tank sprayer or use Scotts Dial 'N Spray hose-end applicator (setting 6). Apply evenly over affected lawn areas. Avoid ornamental plants and garden beds.
3. Do not mow your lawn for 2 days before or after applying.
4. Avoid watering for at least 24 hours after application. Rain within 6 hours may reduce effectiveness.
5. Keep children and pets off treated area until fully dry.
6. Apply between 10°C and 25°C when weeds are actively growing. Reapply after 3–4 weeks if needed. Spring is the best time to apply Killex in Canada.

1) Is Killex safe for pets and children?

According to the official Killex product label, keep children and pets off the treated area until the product has fully and thoroughly dried. Drying time will vary depending on weather, temperature, humidity, and sun exposure.

2) When is the best time to apply Killex in Canada?

Spring, when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are between 10°C and 25°C — typically late April through early June. A fall application works if weeds return.

4) How long does Killex take to work?

You may see visible signs of wilting and discolouration within a few days of application. Complete elimination of weeds can take up to four weeks depending on the weed type and growth stage. Killex is only effective when applied to actively growing weeds.

5) Can I use Killex on a newly seeded lawn?

No. Do not apply Killex to newly seeded turf until after the second or third mowing. If you have recently applied Killex, wait 1 to 2 weeks before sowing new grass seed.

6) How soon can I mow after applying Killex?

Avoid mowing for at least 2 days before and after applying Killex. Mowing too soon after application can reduce effectiveness by removing the treated leaf surface before the product has been absorbed.

Can I apply Killex before rain?

Avoid applying Killex if rain is expected within 24 hours. Do not water your lawn for at least 24 hours after application. Rain too soon after applying can wash off the product before it has been absorbed, reducing effectiveness.

7) How many times a year can I apply Killex?

Killex is typically applied once in spring when weeds are actively growing. You can reapply throughout the season if weeds persist, waiting at least 3 to 4 weeks between applications. Most Canadian homeowners find one spring application sufficient for the season.

8) What is the difference between Killex concentrate and ready-to-use?

The concentrate requires mixing with water before application (6 mL per 1 litre of water) and is better suited for treating larger lawn areas. The ready-to-use formula comes pre-mixed in a spray bottle and is more convenient for spot-treating smaller patches of weeds. The concentrate generally offers better value per application area.
